The guide bar is a relatively easy to wear accessory in the chain saw. The guide bar has relatively high requirements for pressure resistance, wear resistance and hardness.
Most chainsaw guide bars on the market are made of 65 manganese steel, iron, and some high-end alloys.The durability of a piece of alloy guide bar is equivalent to 5 pieces of 65 manganese steel guide bar, but because of its high price, and It is heavier than the ordinary guide bar, so it cannot be used in a wide range.
The guide bar material is generally 50 manganese steel or 65 manganese steel, 65 manganese steel has better durability, 65 manganese steel guide bar is better than 50 manganese steel guide bar.
The guide bars are divided into laminated and welded alloys. Laminating is a one-time forming guide bar, which is much better in quality than welding alloy, and of course the price is much more expensive.
The length of the guide bar ranges from 14 inches to 36 inches, and the most commonly used chainsaws are 16 inches, 18 inches, 20 inches and 22 inches.
