Wrenches are commonly used tools. With the development of science and technology and the need of technology, all kinds of high-efficiency wrenches have been invented one by one. Pneumatic wrenches are one of them. They work with compressed air as the power source. What is the working principle of pneumatic wrenches?
1. Structure of pneumatic wrench
The pneumatic wrench is generally composed of two parts, namely, the pneumatic motor and the impact hammering part. The pneumatic motor is composed of an eccentric cylinder, a rotor, a movable blade and a sealing cap, which is mainly used to convert the pneumatic energy into kinetic energy; The impact hammering part is mainly composed of inertial impact frame, impact claw and torque output shaft, which is mainly used to convert constant torque into pulse torque.
2. Principle of pneumatic wrench
The pneumatic wrench is powered by the compressed air from the air compressor. The air enters the cylinder chamber through the pipeline. Using the eccentric design of the cylinder, the air flow is sprayed onto the movable blades of the rotating rotor to drive the rotor to rotate. The movable blades are closely attached to the cylinder wall under the centrifugal effect, dynamically isolating the air inlet and outlet; The rotor rotates by using the pressure difference on the vanes. Each time the vanes reach a certain angle, they will pass through the exhaust holes, and the airflow from the exhaust holes will flow back to the cylinder chamber with the intake air, forming a high-speed rotor. The constant torque generated by the pneumatic motor is transmitted to the inertial impact frame through splines, and the constant torque is converted into pulse torque to generate high-strength torsional inertia, so as to tighten or remove the screws.
