Using Chainsaws to Cut Snow?

source:Industry News release time:2024-05-21 Article author:Rosit Popular:Air band saw

If you've entertained such a notion upon viewing this image, you may be inadvertently misled by its initial impression.

The prominent white masses depicted are not, in fact, snow, but rather polyethylene (PE), the most manufactured plastic. Polyethylene, a ubiquitous plastic, finds extensive utility across diverse sectors including packaging, consumer goods, and coatings.

Typically, during the normal production process, polyethylene emerges in small rice-like forms. However, deviations such as incorrect temperature settings or other factors can lead to the formation of substantial cake-like masses, as depicted in the images. Freshly formed post-reaction within the production reactor, these entities bear resemblance to snow solely in appearance. In reality, they present a notably tougher and more resilient nature, adhering steadfastly to the reactor's base.

Failure

This particular disposition presents a considerable challenge for our clients. Failure to expeditiously address these PE accumulations can significantly disrupt the entirety of the production process. Initial attempts using conventional cutting machinery proved inadequate in their efficacy. Consequently, our clients sought our expertise in procuring more robust machinery solutions.

After carefully evaluating the problem and considering the work environment, we decided to send our CC22 chainsaw series, along with some of our team members, to lend a hand. When they got to the site, they helped set up the machines and showed the operators how to use them effectively.
