How to better use high-speed steel circular saw blades

source:Industry News release time:2021-06-03 Article author:Rosit Popular:Air band saw

In order to minimize the consumption of high-speed steel circular saw blades, reduce the cutting cost per blade, and improve the production efficiency of the factory, according to the actual situation, based on our years of industry service experience, the following application suggestions are listed here:

How to better use high-speed steel circular saw blades(pic1)

  1. Trial operation of the new saw blade.

In order to prolong the service life, make the metal circular saw and the new saw blade (new unused saw blade or saw blade after each grinding) have a more sufficient running-in process. The feed rate is very necessary.

  2. Cutting and feeding speed.

Cutting speed depends on the cross section and toughness of the workpiece to be cut. For stainless steel, which is difficult to cut and has higher toughness, a slower speed is very helpful to increase the service life of the saw blade. For some iron-based materials with relatively low toughness, the speed of the saw blade can be increased accordingly.

  3. Grind the saw blade in time and correctly.

Pay attention to the working condition of the saw blade at any time. If there are abnormalities such as vibration, noise, and material removal on the processing surface, it must be stopped in time for adjustment, and timely grind to maintain sharpness. Re-grind the saw blade in time and correctly can maximize the effectiveness of the saw blade.

  4. Add suitable coolant.

Because of the high temperature generated during cutting, the saw blade may be deformed. There is no coolant, which not only affects the life of the saw blade, but also the cutting effect is not ideal. So, please add coolant.

  5. Observing the sawdust allows you to roughly judge the current performance status of the saw blade.

    1) The sawdust is very fine or powdery, which means that the cutting pressure is too small.

    2) Thick and soft sawdust, which means cutting overload.

    3) The sawdust is a long spiral filament, which means it is in good condition.

    4) If the feed speed is increased, a thicker tooth should be selected accordingly.
